The nf-metalog plugin records workflow task events to a database (currently supporting SQLite only), organizing them by sample. The meta Map is a Nextflow construct that associates metadata with each sample throughout pipeline execution, see the nf-core documentation for details (https://nf-co.re/docs/contributing/components/meta_map). This enables you to monitor workflow execution and track individual samples as they progress through the pipeline using SQL.
