The xpack-platform plugin extends Seqera Platform with a global cache feature that enables cross-pipeline, cross-run task reuse across cloud storage (S3, Azure Blob, GCS), solving the problem of redundant computation across different workflows and users. Organizations and teams using Nextflow on cloud infrastructure would use this to significantly reduce compute costs and runtime by automatically reusing task outputs, regardless of which pipeline or user originally generated them. Requires a Nextflow license and works as a transparent layer that turns cloud storage into a shared, content-addressable cache without requiring pipeline modifications.
